
Tomorrow the Grand Star staff will be recognizing World Down Syndrome Day. Please wear crazy socks or blue and yellow to help spread awareness. In case you were curious...The date for WDSD is the 21st day of the 3rd month. It was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.

Our Family Fun Night is in full swing!





Join us at Grand Star for the Family Fun Night from 5:30-7:00. Please park in the front. We have food planned for families who RSVP'd.


We will be celebrating Read Across America Week. Please join us on this adventure as our students will be hearing from famous children's books, participating in contests, and having fun reading. Our daily book themes are below:
Monday: The Napping House PJs
Tuesday: The Day the Crayons Quit Your favorite color
Wednesday: Oh, the Places You’ll Go! (for Dr. Seuss!) Shirts with states and countries
Thursday: Pippi Longstocking Silly Socks (Remember, its Spring Picture Day)
Friday: Good Night, Gorilla Your Timberwolves (or other animal) shirt

Tomorrow is PTA Family Movie Night. All GSE students are welcome with an adult to stay with them
Doors at 6:30, movie starts at 7:00, bring your own chairs and snacks!

If you missed the bake sale today, we have items left. We will be open again Friday morning for students to purchase. All items are $1 and the funds will go to buy school supplies for kids in Ethopia.

Our Timberwolf Leadership Council voted tomorrow as PJ Day come to school comfortable and warm!

Earnie Miller Park & Nature Center presented to our Grand Star 3rd grade classes today. They are studying owls.



The Fall food drive is underway! It will continue through the end of this week. The food donated will be used to support our GSE food pantry as well as local food pantries. There is a 50% increase in food insecurities around local food banks due to rising needs and grocery prices. Please consider donating!


Our Grand Star Trunk-or-Treat was a huge success. Thank you to our PTA and all of our volunteers.
