Students planning to attend a four-year college should take either the ACT or SAT beginning second semester of junior year. Many students repeat testing into their senior year. Colleges will accept either ACT or SAT for admission. Some students take both tests to compare scores in the event they perform better on one. ACT and SAT tests are not required for those attending community colleges. Please visit college websites for more information about required admissions exams.
